Schedule Manager

TAILORED FOR END USERS, MANAGERS, AND CUSTOMER ADMINS

INTRODUCTION

The Schedule Manager in SapienceIQ provides a centralized interface for users to manage all their schedules, subscriptions, and data alerts across the platform. It gives users a consolidated view of:

  • Scheduled tasks created in Publish and Model

  • Subscriptions in Discover, Present, and Publish

  • Data alerts created in Discover and Present

By using this capability, users can efficiently monitor, edit, and control all recurring or one-time activities in a single place.

HOW IT WORKS
  • The manager displays all scheduled tasks, subscriptions, and alerts specific to the logged-in user.

  • Users can view details such as schedule name, type, source, description, start date, and end date.

  • Actions available per item include Stop, Start, Edit, and Delete.

  • Subscriptions and schedules can be configured with either basic preset options or advanced custom settings.

  • All edits and updates are applied immediately to the selected schedule or subscription.

ACCESSING THE MANAGER
  • Open the Content Manager.

  • Click the menu dots and select the last option in the pop-up list to access the Schedule and Subscription Manager.

  • The interface displays four tabs corresponding to different scheduled item types: schedules, subscriptions, alerts, and other user-specific tasks.

MANAGING SCHEDULES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
  • View Details: Each item displays its Name, Type, Source, Description, Start Date, and End Date.

  • Edit: Click the pencil icon beside an item to update details.

  • Basic vs Advanced Settings:

  • Basic: Choose from preset schedules such as Weekdays at 7 AM.

  • Advanced: Define custom recurring schedules or on-demand execution.

  • Actions: Use Stop, Start, Edit, or Delete for each item to control its execution.

  • Navigation: Clicking the Source name jumps to the item’s location in the Content Explorer.

LIMITATIONS
  • Users can only view schedules, subscriptions, and alerts that they have created or have access to; they cannot edit items created by other users unless explicitly shared from the Hub.

  • Recurring schedules set in Advanced mode require careful configuration; incorrect settings can cause missed or repeated executions.

  • Subscriptions and alerts are user-specific and cannot be shared directly between users.

  • Editing or deleting a schedule or subscription affects only the current instance and does not retroactively modify past deliveries.

  • Real-time updates for schedules and subscriptions may be delayed depending on system load or server schedules.

  • An enterprise license may be required for advanced scheduling features.

FINAL NOTE

The Schedule and Subscription Manager streamline the oversight of recurring tasks, subscriptions, and alerts in SapienceIQ. Users can efficiently track and update their schedules, ensuring timely access to content, reports, and notifications while maintaining control over their platform activities.
